ABOUT:

"Smudge" Miramar, born in the mid-1970s in rural New Zealand in a village shaped by rugby and the dairy industry, was captivated early by dreams of spaceships, robots, and occasional mutants. Despite being discouraged by his art teachers, who claimed there was no future in comics, film, or TV, Smudge pursued his passion, leaving New Zealand to build a career overseas. Though initially aiming for film, he unexpectedly found himself in the video game industry after joining the wrong job queue. Over 20 years, Smudge established himself as a Senior Environment Artist, working with diverse personalities and navigating the unique and often intense dynamics of the gaming industry. His experience and creativity have made him a respected professional in both video games and VFX, always staying true to his original artistic vision.
